Expected School-Wide Learning Results
The ESLRs to me is meaning that school wants students to be able to know how to read, write, and communicate well after they get out from school. School is a place to learn and being educated along the way. I think that in order to become a better and successful person, we should be able to have three important skills when we enter the society. Here are three goals that we need to reach when we study at school. We should get trained as an Effective Communicators., a good Problem Solvers and a Lifelong Learners.
As one of my previous teacher told me before, she said that people should always have ability to read and write well when they enter the real world. It doesn’t matter where you do business; you got to able to read the documents or writing notes to your partners. We should able to transfer information in a corrected way. When we get a problem, we should do some research about what you try to do. It is always a good habit to gather information and organize our information and thoughts for solving the problem. We should always provide some opinions on something, make you become more creative and a production worker as thing goes on. People always think that they know everything out there, what I think is that we should never give up on studying. Learning new stuff is always a good way to improve ourselves. The more knowledge you know, then the effective person you will be.
From this experience, I will help myself to set up a goal. I should spend more time on reading and writing in order to become a knowledgeable person in the future. I have noticed that communication has been a important role in a part of our lifetime. It doesn’t matter where we go and what we do, knowledge and communication has always required. That is why we go to school and being educated as a better person in life

Road toward Success
The similarities of two articles are that they both talked about how they were suffering when they were young and how they were starting their life journey after they immigrant to United States. They both believed that as long as they try hard in life and never give up. There always be a better opportunity and future waiting in front of them. They also try to persuade the youth that how difficult of reality in many situations and how to overcome the problems when they face them. They didn’t care about others' criticism and persist of their continuing education.
They difference of two main characters was they came to U.S at different ages. Also, they were going to different university and pursuing different area of degree. They both have different perspectives about the definition of success.
The two short articles have really stunned on me. Especially, the characters’ persistent and hopes inspired me in many ways. I should put more effort on my studying and set up a goal for myself to achieve. I have to have a spirit of never giving up as LY and Randy did. I should encourage myself work even harder and define myself in a better position in a life standing.

My goal
Health, that is my goal for the new year.I want to join a gym and to reduce my weight. I can exercise everyday there and also can make some friends there. we can learn from each other how to reduce weight and be healthy. I hope that I will achieve my goal with success.
